Something about us......

We live in Hooks, Texas -  which is in the northeast corner of Texas - or what we call the "Arklatex".  We manage a small "home raised" breeding program just outside of town. We only breed German Shepherds because of our love of the breed. We are planning our litters to improve progeny. We have a variety of West German Working Dogs & East German DDR Working Dogs, American & Canadian Show Lines and West German Show Lines. 

The breed standard is what we are striving for. The standard was set by Max von Stephanitz (pictured below) in 1899, who took notice of a hard working shepherd dog named Hektor von Linkshein, whom he thought to be an outstanding example of "true herding type". This dog became the foundation upon which all German Shepherd Dogs would follow. Max von Stephanitz said "take this trouble for me: Make sure my Shepherd Dog remains a Working Dog, for I have struggled all my life long for that aim."
